Manufacturing businesses across Bath & North East Somerset are being encouraged to take advantage of funding and expert support available through Made Smarter South West, a programme designed to help manufacturers embrace digital technology and drive business growth.
Eligible manufacturers can apply for 50% match-funded grants ranging from £1,000 to £20,000 to invest in new technology, software or equipment that can improve productivity, reduce costs and increase efficiency. Alongside grant funding, businesses can access a range of fully funded support, including expert advice, tailored technology roadmaps, digital skills training and opportunities to collaborate with student talent. The programme is designed to help manufacturers identify and implement the right digital solutions for their organisation, whether that involves automation, artificial intelligence (AI) or smarter business systems.
Made Smarter South West supports businesses at every stage of their digital journey, helping manufacturers understand the opportunities technology can offer and providing practical guidance to turn ideas into action. With funding and programme places limited, businesses are encouraged to register their interest as early as possible to maximise their chances of securing both grant funding and expert support. Applications close on the 31st August 2026.
