As part of their commitment to creating a more inclusive society, WECIL is offering vital support and training through the Culture West programme. The first in-person training session will take place on Friday 20th September 2024, from 9:30am to 5:00pm at the West of England Combined Authority offices in Bristol.
Places are limited to 25 participants, so early booking is essential. Additional training dates in October and November will be announced soon.
This comprehensive training will cover a range of essential topics, including:
- The impact of prejudice on disabled people
- Different approaches to disability, including the medical and social models
- Legal rights of disabled people and the Equality Act 2010
- Reasonable adjustments in recruitment and the workplace
- Access to Work Scheme
- Accessible communications
